E.O. Brody produced iconic utility glass vases, from its founding in 1958 until the company was acquired by Lancaster Colony Corporation in 1971, with production continuing under new ownership through the late 20th century.
Founding:E.O. Brody Company started in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1958, pioneering the idea of selling glass floral containers directly to florists.
Peak Production:The 1960s were a major period for Brody vases, known for their distinctive milk glass, green, and clear glass styles with textured "crinkle" or "hobnail" patterns.
Acquisition:Lancaster Colony took over the company in 1971, continuing to produce the popular vases.
