The original primary colors sets, produced from 1945 to the late 1960s, typically include four nesting bowls in blue, red, green, and yellow. These vintage sets, known for their durable opal glass and vibrant fired-on colors, are highly collectible. 

The original vintage Pyrex primary color bowls were produced from 1945 to 1968. This set was the first colored opalware (opaque glass) introduced by Pyrex and became an iconic feature of post-WWII American kitchens. The four-piece nesting bowl set, featuring blue, red, green, and yellow bowls, was first introduced in 1945. 

Around 1950, the bowl shape and base were redesigned to be thinner with a flatter base, and the marking on the bottom was updated to include the specific model numbers and capacity. The shades of color also varied slightly over the production run. The original production of the primary color mixing bowls ceased around 1968.
